Whilst at Informed Business Services (Feb 95 - Dec 98), David Green was responsible for the following three publications:

The Informed Internet Social Impact Study


   

Examined the impact of Internet technology on the future of our home and working lives. Each month a specific area was examined including interviews with leading experts from both the business and academic worlds (e.g. Vinton Cerf & Howard Rheingold). Topics examined included: Legislation and Regulation, The Impact on Work and Financial Services.

The Informed Internet Update

   

Added to the information in the company's training manuals and covered recent IT and business developments in the Internet world. Articles were short and concise, covering major players and events in different markets. Topics reported on included company news, products and services, market news, government, diary of events etc.

Informed Business Guides

 

   

A range of Country Business Guides which were produced to a standard format to allow easy comparison and consisted of the following sections:

  • Historic and Economic Overview
  • Forms of Business Enterprise
  • Company Registration
  • Company Filing Requirements
  • Taxation
  • Accounting & Auditing
  • Public availability of information
  • Stock Exchanges
  • Main Legislation Acts
  • Useful Contacts

In addition to its coverage of Western European countries, guides had been produced for the following regions:

  1. Central and Eastern Europe, Russia & the Former Soviet Republics (produced with assistance of the EBRD)
  2. Latin and Central America

The guides were also available via two online information providers (Internet Securities and Equifax GlobalScan).
