Responsible for global web strategy and
operations (153 websites in 29 languages across 108 countries
worldwide) including emarketing and social media. Reported to
Global Brand Leader and then Global Communications Director.
- Lead global team with responsibilities for the definition,
management and execution of online market strategy, including
email campaign management, search engine marketing, web analytics
and management reporting, social media strategy and online
brand protection.
- Negotiate global contracts and manage vendor accounts -
exploiting economies of scale of the Deloitte worldwide network
to secure discounted pricing and/or preferential terms of
service, as well as influencing vendor product development
roadmaps. Secured $1M savings in contract renewal.
- Directing global deployment of new web portal platform,
specifying all business and functional requirements to global
IT and defining all training documentation and internal communications
needs.
- Implementing processes and advising on global policies and
vendor products to mitigate and protect Deloitte from risk
issues such as online brand and trademark infringements, as
well as compliance with regulatory requirements concerning
privacy and data protection.
- Direct production of management reporting and KPI dashboards
on site visitor and emarketing performance - these demonstrated
clear ROI, supporting business case for budget investment.
- Led a competitive tender selection process, and project
management of a digital agency to redesign user interface
of Deloitte.com, to support a Deloitte global brand campaign.
- Contributing to developing brand identity standards for
digital media.
As a result of my leadership, Deloitte.com
has received several accolades and witnessed massive increases
in audience reach and engagement. Deloitte.com has helped generate
significant multi-million dollar revenue over five years, and
outperforms direct competitors in terms of site traffic.
Deloitte.com has been rated the best
professional services website, and amongst the top 15 global websites,
in the '2008
Web Globalization Report Card', the best professional services
website in a 2007 Forrester report 'Best
& Worst of B2B website design'. It is also rated by B2B
Magazine as a top 10 B2B site, whilst the 'The
Effectiveness of professional services websites' ranked Deloitte.com
the world's 2nd best accounting website.
